Home made bread and jams, organic muesli, fresh fruit salad and porridge with local Somerset honey are popular choices.
This may be followed up with our hot breakfast which showcases the finest local produce, our smoked salmon is from the renowned local Valley Smokehouse and our organic bacon, sausages and our excellent large organic free range eggs are all produced locally.
If your would prefer, we are happy to provide our ‘early riser’ tray to your room for a quick and nutritious breakfast before dashing off to work or setting off on a long day of exploring.
Eat & Drink
We do not offer evening meals. However, if you would prefer to stay in the B&B for your evening meal, Monday-Friday, we can arrange a supper platter (priced at £12.50 per person) to be taken in the dining room. We do need a minimum of 8 hours notice to prepare this as everything needs to be fresh. You are welcome to arrange your own evening picnic, taken in the garden or summer house or in your own room.
However, we can highly recommend a number of local establishments that serve exceptional food and drink. Both ‘The Pelly’ and ‘The Bear and Swan’ and The Lazy Lobster are a 4 minute drive away from SummerHouse. The Druids Inn and the Rising Sun are even closer. The Pig at Bath is ten minutes drive away. If you are looking for a gourmet dining experience, the Michelin starred ‘Pony and Trap’ is a mere 4 miles away. However, we recommend that you make a reservation in advance. To do this, please call 01275 332627.
Two taxi companies operate locally.
